Nerve Release Surgery

West Coast Foot And Ankle Center is here to determine if you need nerve release surgery, another procedure or a completely different approach to treatment and recovery.  If we determine you will benefit from nerve release surgery for cubital tunnel syndrome, also referred to as ulnar nerve entrapment, you will finally be liberated from the pressure placed along the nerve that generates sensations that prove quite uncomfortable.

The goal of nerve release surgery is to alleviate pain stemming from repetitive stressors.  The procedure alleviates numbness and discomfort with an expansion of the area around the nerve.  This expansion is the “release” component of the procedure.  The surgery releases the pressure that has built up to the point that it causes significant discomfort.  The incision required for the procedure is quite small yet it is in your interest to remain seated for the week following surgery.
